Judy Wiener <\/span>is Professor <\/span>Emerita <\/span>of School and Clinical Child Psychology <\/span>in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development <\/span>at OISE\/University of Toronto<\/span>. <\/span>Dr. Wiener<\/span> has done<\/span> research on self-<\/span>perceptions<\/span>, family and peer relationships of children and adolescents with ADHD and learning disabilities and the efficacy of school-based and mindfulness interventions<\/span> for these youth. <\/span>Her <\/span>primary clinical <\/span>expertise<\/span> is assessment and psychosocial interventions with children and adolescents with learning disabilities and ADHD, and immigrants and refugees.<\/span> Dr. Wiener<\/span> wa<\/span>s <\/span>previously <\/span>President of the International Academy for Res<\/span>earch in Learning <\/span>Disabilities and <\/span>Chair of the Educational and School Psychology Section of the Ca<\/span>nadian Psychological Association.\u00a0<\/span> She has received several <\/span>teaching <\/span>awards <\/span>from the University of Toronto <\/span>and<\/span> Life Time<\/span> Achievement Award<\/span>s<\/span> from the <\/span>Canadian Psychological Association and the <\/span>Section for Psychologists in Education of the Ontario Psycholog<\/span>ical<\/span> Association<\/span>.<\/span> She has published over <\/span>100 <\/span>book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals<\/span>.<\/span> She<\/span> co-authored <\/span>a book <\/span>published by <\/span>Springer <\/span>Publishers <\/span>entitled <\/span><\/span>Psychological Assessment of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Children and Adolescents:\u00a0 A Practitioner\u2019s Guide<\/span><\/span> and is authoring an edited volume on family and peer relationships of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders to be published by Springer Nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"people-type":[32],"yoast_head":"\nDr. Judy Wiener -
