Mark Tanyous received the NSERC-USRA scholarship and worked as a Research Assistant during the summer of 2019 in our group. His project focused on nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete beam-column joints strengthened with FRP composites. As part of his project, Mark investigated important structural characteristics of retrofitted joints such as peak strength, ductility, crack pattern, and damage progression.
