vital signs within the smart home through passive and non-contact means.&nbsp; These provide an option for the measurement of these vital signs without the need for the use of a device that is worn or directly used by the subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sam3\/videovm\/\">Video Magnification<\/a> for the assessment of heart rate, respiration rate and blood pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sam3\/pressure-force\/\">Pressure mats<\/a> for the assessment of respiration rate and other respiratory conditions including cough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sam3\/sounds\/\">Acoustics analysis<\/a> to assess cough and
