Most recently, he led Data Science and AI Innovation for the Bank of Canada, where he focused on bridging the gap between fundamental and applied research and enterprise-grade software engineering. Previously, he held senior technical leadership roles at ServiceNow, Element AI, and held an academic appointment at Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Brazil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Fernandes has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications and patents, with his research garnering approximately 2,800 citations (h-index: 27).
