In this talk we present an approach, called Learning from Observation (LfO), here the agent learns its task by recording and reproducing traces of behavior of a human expert. We use a case-based reasoning technique to achieve LfO, and we describe the typical challenges in LfO, such as performance and learning “stateful” behavior.

– Refreshments Provided
– 90 Minute Talk, 30 Minute Networking

Bio: Dr. Babak Esfandiari is a Professor at the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University.
