<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the Vector Institute<\/a> announced the winners of the 2021-22 Vector Institute <\/span>Scholarship in Arti<\/span>fi<\/span>cial Intelligence (VSAI), including our MASc student Anh Khoa Tran<\/strong> (co-supervised by Profs Yuu Ono<\/a> and Sreeraman Rajan<\/a>)<\/span>. The VSAI attracts top talent to AI master<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span>programs o<\/span>ff<\/span>ered across the province, which provide the AI skills and competencies <\/span>sought by employers. The VSAI is part of a suite of Vector programs connecting top <\/span>talent with Ontario-based employers.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his MASc study, Khoa<\/strong> will investigate advanced DSP and machine learning techniques for automatic detection and tracking of arterial wall motion for cardiac health diagnosis using ultrasound. He has also been awarded an NSERC USRA for this summer, for which he is working on further exploring his 4th year engineering project of ultrasound artery monitoring that he conducted with three other Biomedical and Electrical Engineering students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
