Systems and Computer Engineering department’s very own, Leila Mosta\u00e7o-Guidolin, has been announced as a Canada Research Chair (CRC).  Mosta\u00e7o-Guidolin holds the prestigious CRC in Imaging Biomaterials and Characterization (Tier II). Her passion lies in addressing the complex issue of fibrosis, which entails the thickening and scarring of tissues in vital organs such as the lungs and heart. Through her innovative integration of tissue engineering and high-resolution imaging techniques, Mosta\u00e7o-Guidolin is dedicated to creating artificial tissues that accurately mimic the natural injury and repair processes of airways.
