By integrating electrical impedance spectroscopy with multi-modal tissue discrimination, McDermott\u2019s research aims to enhance the precision of targeted biopsies, potentially leading to better diagnostic outcomes for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this prestigious recognition from Carleton University, McDermott\u2019s research was also celebrated on an international stage. Last year, he was awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference held in Kuala Lumpur.
