Cowie Innovation Award for their exceptional 4th-year project. Supervised by<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sce\/people\/rossa\/\"> Professor Carlos Rossa<\/a>, their innovative work has earned them a total of $24,000. This award recognizes top-quality innovation in Engineering and was awarded on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The W.E. Cowie Innovation Award, established in 2006 by Alexandra Cowie in memory of her late husband, Wilbur Elliott Cowie, PEng, is presented to a student or team of students in their final year of a Bachelor of Engineering degree for demonstrating exceptional innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Group 27&#8217;s project has garnered significant attention and acclaim, being featured in <a href=\"https:\/\/challenge.carleton.ca\/training-pediatric-surgeons-ai-powered\/\"><strong>Carleton News<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/amp\/1.7219259\"><strong>CBC News<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.ctvnews.ca\/video\/c2917297-artificial-intelligence-simulator-at-cheo\"><strong>CTV News Ottawa<\/strong><\/a>.
