To help officially launch the\u00a0art\u00a0exhibition presented by\u00a0Scholars at Risk Carleton:\u00a0“Mysteries Near the Waterfall” by Nataliia Kononova,\u00a0we are most grateful to share a recorded message from the Ambassador Bob Rae<\/a>, Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations<\/a> in New York.<\/p>\n

This powerful event, hosted by\u00a0Scholars at Risk Carleton, will run from December 2 to 31 at the\u00a0MacOdrum Library and\u00a0highlights the intersection of art and academic freedom, honouring those who courageously continue to create, teach, and share knowledge despite adversity.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Rae\u2019s words remind us of the critical importance of protecting scholars and artists at risk worldwide and celebrate the resilience embodied in Nataliia’s stunning work.<\/p>\n
