Afreenish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Carleton University. She is currently pursuing an MA in Sustainable Energy (Policy) at our School of Public Policy and Administration.
As a master’s level Research Assistant, Afreenish is particularly interested in how globalization processes affect resource allocation in Canada, and how to implement innovative methods that will benefit Canadians in a variety of vulnerable circumstances. A key objective of hers is to integrate policies that will allow her to address the social and economic challenges associated with rural and isolated communities.
