There is a new data projector installed in the Computer Science Sr. Undergraduate & Computer Gaming lab. There are some interesting facts about it:
- projector has a laser based light source, which allows it to turn on and off in few seconds, be very bright (5,000 lumens), bulb will last about 20,000 hours, and is very quiet
- Sony created MacOS and Windows clients that allow multiple users to send the image of their desktop to the projector. No cables are required the image is transmitted over ethernet
- has a built in speaker
