LameJam 2021: Learn, Game, Jam!
Hey there! Are you interested in making games, but don’t know where to start? Thought about entering a game jam but felt a bit too much pressure for your first time? Not sure what a game jam is, but you like games and jam? Have no fear! LameJam is here!
LameJam is an Ottawa-based three-day weekend online event taking place Friday, November 26th – Sunday, November 28th. We’ve designed LameJam to be a low-pressure environment to get beginners up and running to start making their own games! Start from nothing but a basic theme, a small team, and do your best to make a small video game (or tabletop game!) by Sunday afternoon. Mentors will be available to answer questions, and there will be a variety of talks on different game-making skills, industry anecdotes, and workshops on getting started with game engines.
