STEM Fellowship Research Chalk Talks Webinar Series

September 13, 2020 — September 22, 2020

Throughout September 13th to 22nd, STEM Fellowship will continue hosting the Research Chalk Talks Webinar Series. This series will allow students to watch live presentations delivered by scientific researchers and ask them questions and network with STEM industry personnels at the end of the webinar. It is a perfect opportunity for students to gain an insight of what STEM research is like.

We ask you to share this opportunity to encourage students in their scientific endeavours. As evidenced by the unprecedented times we face right now due in part to COVID-19, the importance of science extends to every facet of life. We, as a nation, and more importantly as a global community, need young minds to move science forward in a meaningful way. By sharing this opportunity with students, you are directly impacting their development in science and inherent curiosity.

The presentations will provide insight into a broad range of current research topics, as well as information regarding the scientific research process and research techniques. There will be discussions regarding university, the pursuit of careers in STEM fields, how to get involved in research and an opportunity to ask questions directly to researchers. This will allow them to learn more about the research, as well as receive advice for exploring scientific research themselves. Attached is a list of the webinars that will be taking place between September 13th to the 22nd:

Please note that the webinars are listed in Eastern Standard Time, but we strongly encourage all students from across Canada to attend. Prior registration is not required.
