Have you ever considered interning in America? With all the competition, it may seem like a difficult thing to do. Many top companies are headquartered in cities like San Francisco, New York, and Seattle. With competitive wages and people applying from all around the world, getting one of these internships might feel unattainable. This workshop will hopefully show you it’s more attainable than you think. 🤔

Come to HP5345 at 5:30pm on January 9th, 2020, to learn more about how to get a tech internship in America, hosted by Alexa, who worked at Square in San Francisco this fall. You can follow this event on Facebook.

This workshop will cover topics such as the big differences between Canadian and American internships, when to apply, how to stand out, and what to do after you get the job. This workshop might be useful to computer science or software engineering students looking for any kind of software development internship. Even if you don’t have any intention to work in the states, you might still learn something useful about tech internships in general.
