For visitors they can use the local account and password. You can sign out an owl camera in the main office HP5302 or in the tech support office HP5161 (or ask any tech support in HP5163-HP5167)<\/p>\n<p>Owl cameras can be used when you have one or more participants sharing one Zoom or Teams conferencing session.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-16955 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-240x240.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-240x240.jpeg 240w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-400x400.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-160x160.jpeg 160w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-200x200.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl-360x360.jpeg 360w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/scs\/wp-content\/uploads\/meeting-owl.jpeg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some features of the owl camera:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s a 360 camera that works best in the middle of the participants + it has a built in speaker<\/li>\n<li>It doesn&#8217;t require any special drivers and connects like any other external USB webcam<\/li>\n<li>It uses USB-C and requires a power outlet<\/li>\n<li>It will automatically focus (video + mic) on participants that are speaking<\/li>\n<li>It will learn where participants are seated and transition faster<\/li>\n<li>Not suitable for participants that are moving &#8211; suitable for sitting participants<\/li>\n<li>Owl camera was designed to be on a table with sitting participants. The dome on top is good for looking up at people. When using a tripod adjust it so that it captures participants at eye level &#8211; avoid positioning it high so that it has look down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Dual Owl set-up<\/h3>\n<p>Two Owl&#8217;s can be paired to give you extended coverage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install the Owl app on your phone or tablet<\/li>\n<li>Launch the Owl app and pair the two meeting Owl&#8217;s. It is suggested you keep the meeting owl&#8217;s in line of sight no more than 8 feet apart.<\/li>\n<li>Connect one meeting owl to your laptop using the USB cable. Even though you have connected only one owl the app has configured them so they work together. This will also be the computer that connects to your hybrid meeting.
