<em>make sure to switch on the wireless mouse (bottom switch on the mouse)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can log into the PC using your ITS CUNET account. For visitors they can use the local account and password. See <strong>blue arrow C<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>yellow arrow B<\/strong> indicates where you can attach a thumb-drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case the PC is powered off you can turn it on using the red power button located at the <strong>red arrow A&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Testing the AV setup for a presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Test your presentation (play slides etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test audio: play audio file or play youTube&nbsp; (if applicable) [Audio]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test WiFi: play youTube video (if applicable) [Internet connection]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test Teams\/Zoom(if applicable) [Video\/Mic]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Troubleshooting Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Projector is on and HDMI1 is selected and my laptop can&#8217;t output to the projector. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Solution<\/strong> (Apple): Try Command + F1 first because on many Mac laptops, that toggles display mirroring, so the projector should show exactly what appears on the Mac\u2019s built-in screen. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Solution<\/strong> (Windows): Use Windows key + P to bring up Windows 11\u2019s display-projection menu, then choose Duplicate for the projector to show the same image as the laptop. Most laptops have a <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Fn-key external-display shortcut<\/strong> for Dell it is Fn-F8 for example (look at laptop keyboard icon)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My slideshow is working but the projector turns off after a short timeout period.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Solution<\/strong> (Apple): Apple menu \u2192 System Settings \u2192 Lock Screen. Change settings: \u201cTurn display off on battery when inactive\u201d and \u201cTurn display off on power adapter when inactive\u201d. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Solution<\/strong> (Windows): Settings \u2192 System \u2192 Power &amp; battery. If you can see the owl usually that is adequate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Owl will automatically focus (video + mic) on participants that are speaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-room chatter and cross-talk will be broadcast automatically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you talk for the first time during the meeting it may take 5-10 seconds for the Owl to learn your position and adjust the microphone array accordingly. This could mean the view is not framed properly and temporary sound quality issues.
