Led by Prof. Tony White, the competition consisted of two levels \u2014 junior and senior \u2014 and tested the students\u2019 abilities to solve programming problems in Java, C or C++ in a three-hour contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All participants were given the option to use any of the three languages to solve the competition problems. The junior and senior student who solved the most problems in the shortest amount of time won their respective competition, took home a $150 BestBuy gift card, and perhaps most importantly, claimed the title of CodeGuru for 2016!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"and-our-winners-are\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">And our winners are\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Olivia Perryman<\/strong> won the title of Junior CodeGuru 2016 when she solved five problems, setting a new record for her competition category.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Setting the bar high for next year with 79 correct solutions out of 117 submissions!
