\n Contract Instructor (CI) Opportunities for Winter 2018 Term and Multi-Term Agreement Opportunity 2017-2019\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The School of Computer Science invites applications from members of the CUPE 4600-2 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach courses that will be offered during the winter 2018 term or during the 2017\/2018 and 2018\/2019 academic years within the multi-term agreement.  Specific courses requiring CIs are listed below and course descriptions are available at:  calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/courses\/COMP\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants are required to have a Master\u2019s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications. Previous teaching experience in the subject area is not required but will be considered an asset.  The CI stipend is $7,177 per 0.5 credit course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications should be sent to the School of Computer Science, at SCSApplication@cunet.carleton.ca<\/a>.  As per article 15.3 of the current CUPE 4600\u20132 Collective Agreement<\/a>, applicants are required to submit an up-to-date CV that includes a complete listing of all courses taught within the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 bargaining unit at Carleton University; evidence of teaching competence including previous teaching evaluations at Carleton or at another institution; contact information for two references; and a Contract Instructor Application Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructors may not be assigned more than two (2) full-credit courses over the fall and winter terms, and not more than three (3) courses in any academic year ending August 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
