(French) from London University College of the West Indies; D.P.A. and M.A. in Public Administration from Carleton; and completed doctoral studies at Queen\u2019s University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting in 1957, Stanford served with the governments of Jamaica, Saskatchewan and Canada as a career public administrator and, after retirement in 1991, held Governor\u2013in-Council appointments with the Governments of Canada and Ontario. He has also been a consultant on employment and governance issues since 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stanford has been the recipient of several awards, notably the C.A.T. Productions\u2019 Capital Award \u201cfor outstanding service to Canadian community\u201d in 1991, the Prime Minister of Jamaica\u2019s Gold Medal for service to Jamaica and the Queen\u2019s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003, and the Queen\u2019s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canute Lloyd Stanford unfortunately passed away on Sunday, May 21st, 2023.
