In 1973 she joined the faculty at Trent University, which introduced the country&#8217;s first program in Native Studies. She contributed her experience and expertise for 20 years and held the position of Departmental Chair for three terms. From 1992 to 1996, Ms Brant Castellano served as Co-director of research with the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
