This trip focuses on learning through community integration. Students with an interest in food security, education policy and social work should consider this experience.


7:30 am Breakfast in community
8:30 am Start work at the worksite

The group will assist with the renovation of a community kitchen.

12:00 pm Lunch in community
1:00 pm Visit the local market

The group will explore the availability and diversity of food in rural Guatemala.

5:00 pm Dinner in community
6:00 pm Facilitated group reflection
7:00 pm Individual reflection and downtime
10:00 pm Sleep and re-energize for the next day


Students will be housed in local school property.
