Amos Buh

Dr.

Dr. Amos Buh is a postdoctoral fellow at the CO-CREATH lab of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ottawa. He is also a member of the Canadian Phlebotomy Technicians Group (CPTG) Inc, and a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). He has a background in Nursing and Public Health and holds a PhD in Population Health from the University of Ottawa.

Amos’ research broadly focuses on issues concerning infectious disease epidemiology, global health research, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis – more specifically, his work aims at developing predictive models in mechanisms by which socio-economic factors influence the control of infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, in developing economies. At the CO-CREAT lab, Amos currently leads a project aimed at strengthening community capacity for HIV prevention and care among African, Caribbean and Black women in Ontario. In his free time, he enjoys reviewing manuscripts for international journals and performs editorial activities as an academic editor for the Plos One journal.
