Umoja is always looking for volunteers to join our team. As a volunteer, you will receive training opportunities to help you grow and real life, hands-on experience with leading our events.

Community Mentorship Programs
Carleton (ACB) Peer Mentorship Program – In partnership with Umoja provides individual peers support for ACB students in the Carleton community by pairing them with an upper-year mentor.
Cultivate Mentorship Program (OBSIDI) – Pairing black professionals under 29 with executives in the tech and business sector.
Rising Suns Mentorship Program – For Black males aged 8 – 25 wth a focus on school, career and entrepreneur prep, leadership development, networking activities, and life skills.
Mental Health Resources
CAMH Substance Abuse Program (ACB) – Virtual and inpatient care.
Somerset West (ACB) – Support line, webinars, and HIV prevention.
The Walkin Counselling Clinic (ACB) – Free walk-in counselling on Thursdays, no restrictions (18+).
