The Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Department of English Language and Literature, Institute of African Studies, and Feminist Institute of Transformation Studies in partnership with the Ottawa Catholic School Board invite you to this year\u2019s presentation of Anti-Black Racism, Gender, and Class: Through the Arts. This presentation is the result of the hard work of third year Carleton undergraduate students who had the unique opportunity to work alongside OCSB high school students to create an artistic social justice project that addresses social oppression. Four or five student written forum theatre pieces will be performed. Audience members will participate as \u201cspect-actors\u201d who have the chance to intervene in the scenes and advocate for better social outcomes.

Characters in this are fictional, and not based upon, and do not seek to represent, any real person(s). These characters were created for the purpose of creating discomfort within viewers in efforts to provoke self reflection. These characters do not in any way represent the students or faculty in Ottawa Catholic District School Board or at Carleton University.
