Applications for funding may be submitted by accredited Carleton University Student Organizations, recognized student groups, and partners of CUx. If you are looking for support with your event, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/event-planning-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Event Planning Resources webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications will be reviewed on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any student(s) applying for funding must be a current registered student at the time of event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events\/Activities\/Programs must align with the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/resources\/cux-experience-fund\/mission-and-framework\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CUx mission and framework<\/a> and with one of our categories:&nbsp;Create, Connect, Contribute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups are eligible for a maximum of up to $500 per academic year and only 1 application (total) per term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an application to the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/student-activities-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Student Activities Fund<\/a> is also submitted for the same event, only 1 application will be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of possibility funded projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Title<\/th><th>Description<\/th><th>Category <\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Virtual Paint Night<\/td><td>Participants will get the chance to follow along and create their own masterpiece using any materials they have at home.<\/td><td>Create<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Trivia Night<\/td><td>Students are broken up into teams that will work together in a night of trivia to win an ultimate prize!<\/td><td>Connect<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>International Student Panel<\/td><td>Panel of international students sharing their experiences on moving to Ottawa, getting involved, and studying at Carleton.<\/td><td>Contribute<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds are not intended to support existing projects, co-operative education, staffing, thesis projects, student exchange travel expenses, summer fieldwork placements, laboratory operating costs, or individual educational program requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">All applications must be submitted 15 days in advance of the event to be considered for funding and must take place before March 31st, 2026.<\/strong> Any applications after the event has taken place will not be considered. Applications can take up to 10 business days for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-for-funding\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application for Funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Funding has reached capacity for 2025\/2026. <\/strong>Applications will reopen for next academic year in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:cux@carleton.ca\">cux@carleton.ca<\/a> with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The approval of an application for funding depends upon the availability of funding. Applications must be submitted by the student(s) who is organizing the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"final-report\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All final reports must be submitted within <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">30 days after the event and no later than April 15th, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\/resources\/cux-experience-fund\/final-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Final Report<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CUx Experience Fund provides financial support for groups who are looking to create an event or activity that aligns with the mission and framework of CUx.
