The Service Excellence standards at Carleton University create positive and productive interactions between community members. The standards were developed to establish the expectations of the individuals with whom we interact on campus – students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders. Given the standards of: we care, we are professionals, we are responsive, we are reliable and courteous, and we treat everyone as an individual; this tips series for campus interactions was developed.

Here are some suggestions on how you can ensure that you’re upholding Service Excellence in your interactions with students, staff, faculty, guests, and other university partners or customers. It’s important that every employee at Carleton University review and discuss examples and best practices within their department.
