If the folder path contains OneDrive, the folder may be syncing with OneDrive.<\/p>\n<p>You may also see OneDrive status icons, such as a cloud or check mark, beside your files or folders.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure, contact the Online Exams team before your exam and we can help you check your setup.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-can-my-comas-folder-be-synced-with-onedrive\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-can-my-comas-folder-be-synced-with-onedrive\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Can my CoMaS folder be synced with OneDrive?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-can-my-comas-folder-be-synced-with-onedrive\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p><strong>No. Make sure your CoMaS folder is not being synced with OneDrive or another cloud storage service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>OneDrive may automatically sync folders such as your Desktop or Documents. If your CoMaS folder is stored in a location being synced, this may interfere with files CoMaS needs during your exam.<\/p>\n<p>This is especially important when using Hybrid CoMaS, where CoMaS may manage Word, Excel, or other exam files.<\/p>\n<p>Your CoMaS files should remain stored locally on your computer during your exam.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-what-should-i-check-before-exam-day\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-what-should-i-check-before-exam-day\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">What should I check before exam day?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-what-should-i-check-before-exam-day\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>Before your exam, make sure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CoMaS is downloaded, installed, and tested;<\/li>\n<li>Google Chrome is installed and working;<\/li>\n<li>You have at least 2 GB of free storage space;<\/li>\n<li>Your screen and camera permissions are enabled, when required;<\/li>\n<li>Your CoMaS folder is not being synced with OneDrive or another cloud storage service;<\/li>\n<li>Any applications required for your exam, such as Microsoft Word or Excel, are installed and working; and<\/li>\n<li>You have reviewed the instructions and permitted resources for your assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Complete these checks at least 3 days before your exam so there is enough time to get help if something is not working.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-can-i-use-safari-microsoft-edge-firefox-or-another-browser-with-comas\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-can-i-use-safari-microsoft-edge-firefox-or-another-browser-with-comas\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Can I use Safari, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or another browser with CoMaS?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-can-i-use-safari-microsoft-edge-firefox-or-another-browser-with-comas\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>CoMaS currently uses <strong>Google Chrome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you normally use Safari, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or another browser, make sure Chrome is installed and working before your exam.<\/p>\n<p>During your assessment, use the browser tabs opened by CoMaS and follow the instructions provided for your exam.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-what-browser-do-i-need-for-comas\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-what-browser-do-i-need-for-comas\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">What browser do I need for CoMaS?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-what-browser-do-i-need-for-comas\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>With the recent CoMaS upgrade in august 2026, CoMaS currently uses Google Chrome for its browser functions.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure Google Chrome is installed and working on your computer before your exam. When you start CoMaS, it will open browser tabs in Chrome that are required for your exam session.<\/p>\n<p>For many Brightspace exams, the exam password will also be displayed in one of the CoMaS browser tabs.<\/p>\n<p>Do not <strong>close<\/strong> the CoMaS browser tabs during your exam.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-do-i-need-to-check-screen-recording-permissions-before-every-exam-on-a-mac\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-do-i-need-to-check-screen-recording-permissions-before-every-exam-on-a-mac\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Do I need to check screen recording permissions before every exam on a Mac?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-do-i-need-to-check-screen-recording-permissions-before-every-exam-on-a-mac\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>Yes. If you are using macOS, check your screen recording permissions before each assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Operating system updates may change or reset permissions. Testing CoMaS before every exam helps make sure the required permissions are still enabled.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt storage space before starting your exam.<\/p>\n<p>After clearing space, restart CoMaS and confirm that it is working properly.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-how-much-free-storage-space-do-i-need\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"slideme-how-much-free-storage-space-do-i-need\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>You should have at least <strong>2 GB of free storage space<\/strong> available before starting CoMaS.<\/p>\n<p>Regular CoMaS saves local copies of screenshots and other session information during your assessment, so enough free space is needed for CoMaS to work correctly.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-do-i-need-a-webcam\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-do-i-need-a-webcam\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Do I need a webcam?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-do-i-need-a-webcam\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>A webcam is required for <strong>remote\/digital online exams<\/strong> using CoMaS.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>in-person digital exams<\/strong>, a webcam may not be required because you are writing in a supervised location.<\/p>\n<p>Your exam instructions will tell you what is required for your assessment.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"slideme\">\n\t<dl class=\"slideme__list\">\n\n\t\t<dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-when-should-i-install-and-test-comas\" early gives you time to make sure CoMaS starts correctly, your screen and camera permissions are working, and your computer is ready for the assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Do not wait until exam day to install Brightspace?<\/a><\/dt>\n\n\t\t<dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-can-i-close-comas-after-my-exam-has-opened-in-brightspace\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t<p>No.<\/p>\n<p>If your assessment requires CoMaS, the application must remain running for the entire exam.<\/p>\n<p>Do not continue writing your exam without CoMaS running.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/dd>\n\n\t<dl>\n<\/div>\n\n<div
