Exam Web Platform<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you need to look up exam info \u2018on the go\u2019 or on exam day, you can go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/kb-ses-docs\/\">Faculty Exam Web Platform<\/a> that will have everything you need to know about exam administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Staffing Levels<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduling and Examination Services (SES) has minimal exam support staff; therefore, it is your responsibility as the course instructor to\n<ul>\n<li>Arrange for the appropriate level of assistance (to a recommended ratio of one invigilator for every 50 students).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that you and\/or your assistants arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your exam to pick up your exam materials (this will ensure exams get started on time).<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you anticipate difficulty in providing this level of invigilation support or you are unable to invigilate, please consult <em>in advance<\/em> with the Chair\/Director of your academic unit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the Alumni Hall and Fieldhouse, SES will provide:\n<ul>\n<li>1 Site Facilitator who will be responsible for bringing the exams to the site and providing support for the exam process.<\/li>\n<li>1 Exam Distributor who will be available to hand out exams to you or your assistants prior to the start of exam.<\/li>\n<li>2 Staff for washroom sign-out and marshalling students at the start of the exam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In Classrooms SES will provide:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>1 Site Facilitator to provide support for the exam process.<\/li>\n<li>1 Exam Support Staff floater.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Breaks during the exam should be limited to a few minutes as SES staff floaters are shared with other courses and therefore an extended absence would impact others negatively.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"_Toc414538365\"><\/a><strong>Exam Date, Time, Location Detail<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of your exam date, time and location details and to notify those who will assist you at the exam. You can do this by checking: \u2018Summary Class List and Exam Details&#8217; under the &#8216;Faculty Services&#8217; tab in Carleton Central where the exam date, time and location for your course(s) are displayed.<\/li>\n<li>Students receive these details through a personalized exam schedule in Carleton Central.<\/li>\n<li>Students with disabilities (PMC) are seated in a site appropriate to their needs and this is communicated via Carleton Central to them and to their course instructors.<\/li>\n<li>Carleton University accommodates students and staff who, by reason of religious obligation, must miss a compulsory academic event such as an examination and more information about this is available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/equity\/accommodation\/academic\/guide-to-academic-accommodation-for-instructors\/\">Equity Services website.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>On Exam Day<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If unforeseen circumstances arise\u00a0<strong>on exam day\u00a0<\/strong>and you will not be able to get to your exam on time, please contact Examination Services at 613-520-4454 or <a href=\"m&#97;&#105;&#x6c;&#x74;o:&#101;&#120;&#x61;&#x6d;in&#97;&#116;&#x69;&#x6f;ns&#64;&#x63;&#x61;&#x72;l&#101;&#116;&#x6f;&#x6e;&#x2e;c&#97;\">email us<\/a>\u00a0as early as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Report to your exam site to Pick-up your exam papers and supplies<strong>:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For exams held in<strong> AH\u00a0<\/strong>(Alumni Hall, also known as Ravens\u2019 Nest)<strong>\u00a0 and FH\u00a0<\/strong>(Field House):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report directly to the Exam Distributor, who will be located at the front of the room, to sign in and pick up your exams.\u00a0 These sites open 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam.\u00a0 Doors open for students 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the exam and it is recommended\u00a0<strong>that you arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.\u00a0Please check in with the Exam Distributor even if you are bringing your question papers yourself, so we know that a representative from your course has arrived.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>For exams held in Classrooms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Please report\u00a0<em><strong>well in advance\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>to the Site Office for the building in which your exam is being written.<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Site offices open\u00a0<strong>one hour<\/strong>\u00a0before the scheduled start of the exams.
