DESCRIPTION:Come join us! From November 10-13 2022, some members of the SIM Lab team will be at the Council on Social Work Education&#039;s (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting (APM) in Anaheim, California. This year’s APM theme is Leading Critical Conversations: Human Rights Are Global Rights and will feature social work education presentations, an exhibit hall, and networking opportunities.



Our Research Manager Katherine Occhiuto, Lab Manager Ruxi Gheorghe, and Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting When Reflection is Not Enough: Disrupting Reflection and Moving towards More Socially Just Practice on Friday November 11, 2022 from 10:45–11:15AM. This presentation will share preliminary findings from our project (PI: Dr. Sarah Todd), “Knowing and Not Knowing: Navigating Uncertainty in Social Work Practice”.



Later that day, our Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting Using Simulation to Train Social Workers on Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on Friday November 11, 2022 from 2:30–3:30PM.



Both presentations will discuss research using simulation-based methodologies in social work research.
