Come join us! From November 10-13 2022, some members of the SIM Lab team will be at the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting (APM)<\/a> in Anaheim, California. This year\u2019s APM theme is Leading Critical Conversations: Human Rights Are Global Rights<\/strong> and will feature social work education presentations, an exhibit hall, and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Research Manager Katherine Occhiuto<\/a>, Lab Manager Ruxi Gheorghe<\/a>, and Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis<\/a> will be presenting When Reflection is Not Enough: Disrupting Reflection and Moving towards More Socially Just Practice<\/em><\/strong> on Friday November 11, 2022 from 10:45\u201311:15AM. This presentation will share preliminary findings from our project (PI: Dr. Sarah Todd), \u201cKnowing and Not Knowing: Navigating Uncertainty in Social Work Practice\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later that day, our Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis<\/a> will be presenting Using Simulation to Train Social Workers on Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)<\/strong><\/em> on Friday November 11, 2022 from 2:30\u20133:30PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both presentations will discuss research using simulation-based methodologies in social work research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
