{"id":870,"date":"2019-10-16T10:06:42","date_gmt":"2019-10-16T14:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sip\/?p=870"},"modified":"2019-10-16T10:06:42","modified_gmt":"2019-10-16T14:06:42","slug":"add-your-voice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sip\/2019\/add-your-voice\/","title":{"rendered":"Add Your Voice to Carleton&#8217;s Next Strategic Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To All Members of the Carleton Community,<\/p>\n<p>Since last month\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/story\/carleton-launches-strategic-planning-process\/\">official launch of the strategic planning process<\/a>, the Strategic Integrated Planning (SIP) Task Force has been actively engaging the Carleton community in interactive discussions about Carleton\u2019s strengths and vision for the future. The conversations at these consultations have been productive, and we thank everyone for their engagement in this important process.<\/p>\n<p>So far, we have engaged more than\u00a0400 members of the Carleton community through four campus-wide consultations and 12 invited consultations with specific departments or teams. Twenty additional groups have invited us to host consultations with them and we have scheduled these over the next few weeks. This open consultation phase will run until Nov. 8, when we will move into a set of themed consultations. If you would like us to host a consultation with your department or team, please email <a href=\"m&#97;&#105;&#x6c;&#x74;&#x6f;:S&#116;&#114;&#x61;&#x74;&#x65;g&#105;&#99;&#80;&#x6c;&#x61;&#x6e;&#64;&#99;&#97;&#x72;&#x6c;&#x65;to&#110;&#46;&#x63;&#x61;%20\">S&#116;&#x72;&#x61;t&#101;&#x67;&#x69;c&#80;&#x6c;&#x61;n&#64;&#x63;&#x61;r&#108;&#x65;&#x74;o&#110;&#46;&#x63;&#x61; <\/a>as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Themed Consultation Phase Begins Nov. 9<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Based on the information we gather during the open consultation phase, the task force will identify broad themes to help define our conversations in the themed consultation phase. A campus-wide consultation will be held on each of these themes in November.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Campus-Wide Open Consultations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We have planned two additional campus-wide open consultation sessions for anyone who has missed participating in an open or invited consultation. We invite everyone from the Carleton community to participate in an upcoming consultation about Carleton\u2019s next Strategic Integrated Plan. Please register online to confirm your attendance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sip\/cu-events\/open-consultation-nov-6\/\">Wednesday, Nov. 6<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sip\/cu-events\/open-consultation-nov-7\/\">Thursday, Nov. 7<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Strategic Planning Speaker Series: Oct. 18, 21, 28, 31<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We have hosted four guest speaker events as part of the Strategic Planning Speaker Series, which has prompted us all to think strategically about significant topics related to higher education.
