Carlisle Hanson Essay Contest for 2022. The adjudication committee selected Fiona Doyle for her essay titled &#8220;Threading the Contribution of Indigenous Women to Socioenvironmental Praxis and Resistance\u201d and Sidney Kamerbeek for her essay titled &#8220;Relationality, Resistance, and Indigenous Women.&#8221; Each will be awarded a prize of $750.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee expresses its gratitude to all who submitted their works and wish them all the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The J. Carlisle Hanson Award in Human Rights is awarded annually on the recommendation of the Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies to a student enrolled in the human rights program who submits the best essay addressing the topic of human rights and democracy.&nbsp; Essays are also invited to examine the topics from a Canadian Perspective.&nbsp; Endowed in 2007 by J.
