Paul Adams, associate professor in journalism, will participate in a three-member panel to review the polling during the Calgary municipal election in 2017.

The polling industry came under fire during and after the election for what many considered misleading polling. The Market Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) has assembled a three-person panel consisting of Prof. Adams, David Zussman, now of the University of Victoria, and Christopher Adams, Rector of St. Paul’s College at the University of Manitoba.

All of the panel members have extensive experience with the design of polls and the communication of their results. They hope to report to the MRIA convention in June.
