We’re searching for a top-tier senior journalism student with sharp digital skills and a keen eye for local news.

Job description:

Working independently, although in consultation with a senior editor, you’ll do a combination of the following: news reports, local news roundups, social media feeds, website updating, assembly of weekly email newsletter.

Qualifications:

You should be a senior journalism student who has experience with WordPress, Inception, photography and videography. You must be a professional and organized self-starter, able to work independently. A proven track record of high-quality local reporting with the School is a must. Experience with interactive data tools such as Tableau is an asset.

Training:

You will need to be available for two or three hours of training prior to commencing the contract.

Salary: 

This is a full-time position, salary commensurate with experience.
