Jessica Chapman has earned a B.A. with Honours in Political Science and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Carleton University. Obsessed with the pervasive gaze of modern surveillance practices, she is interested in the ways in which we ‘watch’ and are ‘watched’. Her research is focused on the adoption of body-worn video technologies by police organizations. Specifically, her work is looking at how these devices are changing police procedures and practices. An admitted caffeine addict, she enjoys spending her free time with a hot beverage and a good TV show.
