A global leader in central banking communications strategy
Considered a global leader in central banking communications strategy, Jill Vardy was appointed chief of staff and advisor at the Bank of Canada in 2017. She joined Canada’s central bank in 2002 as speechwriter; within eight years she was managing director of communications. Previously Vardy spent 15 years as a national journalist, working as economics reporter, Parliament Hill reporter and senior technology writer and columnist for the Financial Post (National Post).
