John MacGillis

Biography

John is returning to Carleton to join the Master of Journalism program after completing his Bachelor of Journalism in the spring of 2021. Through freelance work and internships, he has covered federal politics, elections, sports and local news, with an emphasis on photojournalism. His research interests include media ethics and the analysis of journalism as a business. When he isn’t reporting, John enjoys paddling, camping, and photography.
