Liam Baker

Biography

Liam is embarking upon his Masters of Journalism at Carleton University after earning his bachelors of Arts and Science degree, with a specialization in English and Mathematics, from the University of Guelph in the spring of 2021. During his tenure at the University of Guelph, Liam often wrote for the school paper, The Ontarion, where Liam mainly focused his articles upon the societal impact of overreaching governmental laws, which he hopes to further explore as part of his Masters Research Project. Liam has a strong passion for global affairs, which is rooted in his love of travel and the learning of new cultures. While living in Vancouver during his gap year, Liam was employed as a landscaper, which strengthened Liam’s passion for environmental protection. In his free time, Liam is often found snowboarding, skateboarding or playing guitar, and often channels his creative outlets through writing short and long form stories centred upon social justice, mental health or philosophy, as well as writing and recording
music.
