Biography

For as long as she can remember, Jennifer has preferred communicating through the written word and through music performance. Her background is in classical music — an ideal launchpad into multidisciplinary work to bridge the arts with audiences, a new chapter for which journalism seems an ideal fit. Since February 2017, Jennifer has also contributed actively to Musical Toronto, Canada’s most-read classical music website: notable assignments include the 2017 Juno Awards, the Banff Centre summer music programs, and the Montreal International Music Competition. She will serve as the website’s interim Deputy Editor from June until August. Jennifer is looking forward to becoming well-acquainted with Ottawa’s stories over the next two years, and relishing the process as much as the result.
