Laurie Mackenzie is a communications specialist with experience in print journalism and the non-profit sector. After completing a B.A. in Journalism at Concordia University in 1997, Laurie worked as a reporter, editor and designer in community news in Montreal and daily news in Toronto. She then jumped to magazines, including five years at Canadian Living, which inspired her decision to complete an M.J. at Carleton University in 2010. Since then, Laurie has been teaching the School of Journalism’s gender course under various titles and numbers but always with the same enthusiasm.
