Meagan Gillmore has worked across Canada as a reporter at The Yukon News in Whitehorse, Yukon, copy-editor at Brunswick News Inc. in Saint John, N.B., and national labour reporter for rabble.ca. She has reported on disability policy and related topics for Accessible Media Inc.’s audio programs since 2016. Her work has been published in various outlets including the CBC, The Walrus, The Toronto Star, TVO.org, OHS Canada, Aboriginal Business Quarterly, Law Times, Faith Today and Christianity Today. Meagan has been nominated for a digital publishing award (2021) and in 2011 won the David S. Barr Award in the college division from the Newspaper Guild-CWA Canada for reporting she did as an undergraduate at Wilfrid Laurier University in her hometown of Brantford, Ont. She loves trying new recipes, finding new books and podcasts and cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays.
