Peter O’Malley, Communications professional, Parliament Hill, for more than three decades. His roles included journalist, news editor, press secretary for a national party leader, PR agency owner, and an independent senior consultant; BA, University of Guelph. He has advised business leaders and senior government officials in hundreds of organizations over his career, lectured at universities, and published articles on public policy and communications. He has completed assignments in Canada, the U.S, the Caribbean, and in Europe. He was a fellow at the Centre for the Study of Democracy at Queen’s University. He served on the Board of the Canadian Public Relations Society (Ottawa), and as a national officer of that organization’s Consultants’ Institute. He has sat on non-profit boards in support of people with HIV/AIDS, and the preservation of built heritage. Now retired from consulting, he teaches strategic communications at the School of Journalism and Communication.
