Sarah Peterson

Biography

B.F.A Spec. Hons. Music, York University

Sarah spent four years at York University studying vocal jazz performance and digital composition. Sarah became a staff writer for York University’s student press Excalibur, and through her Honours Research Essay, Sarah explored how gendered subjectivities and social identities are both challenged and affirmed in popular music. Sarah is passionate about giving the public access to truthful information, promoting human rights in Canada and around the world, and producing investigative journalism in the service of public good. Sarah is excited to be back in her hometown, and thrilled to be a part of Carleton University’s MJ class of 2016.
