Stephanie Ritter

Biography

Stephanie Ritter is a 3rd year PhD Communication student. Stephanie holds a MA from Western University where she earned the title of CIHR/CCO Fellow in Population Intervention for Chronic Disease Prevention. Stephanie’s MA research examined the presence of e-cigarettes on Instagram, a social network with a high concentration of young users. Stephanie is interested in the intersections of new technologies, online communities, and health communication. She is specifically interested in the promotion of vaping products and vaping events on social media. Her PhD research intends to evaluate how young Canadians respond to the vaping mediascape.
