Joanne has spent the past five years at CBC, specializing in promotional strategy and audience engagement for radio, television and online. During her time at CBC she experienced on a very intimate level the ongoing shift to digital delivery and the introduction of social media into the news process. Joanne is interested in the architecture of digital narrative, modern relationships with the news consumer and cyber security relating to journalists and the newsroom. Joanne is an avid skier and mountain biker. She is also a multimedia artist who enjoys working with canvas, textiles, glass… and ones and zeroes.
