Taylor O'Brien

Biography

Taylor was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON. She recently graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English. Taylor initially had the plan of becoming a teacher, but her love and passion for journalism and writing grew as she wrote articles and personal writing pieces for writing organizations at her university. She decided to pursue her dream of becoming a journalist and join the Master of Journalism program. Taylor aspires to reach out to people and connect with others through journalism, and she desires to divulge, expound, and tell truthful stories while using her platform to uplift the voices of those who may not be able to and share their stories.

Aside from journalism, Taylor’s other interests include reading, playing sports, listening to music, getting involved in politics, and travelling.
