She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Ottawa (2022) and is an alumna of the World Economic Forum\u2019s Global Shapers Community.<\/p>\n<p>Erica has a professional background in international affairs and public history. She previously worked as a Policy Officer with the Australian High Commission in Canada and as a Student Heritage Interpreter with Parks Canada. As an undergraduate student, her research on U.S. foreign policy was published in the sixth edition of Clio, the University of Ottawa\u2019s undergraduate history journal.<\/p>\n<p>Her experience working for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Government of Canada strengthened her interest in how complex political, historical, and international issues are communicated to the public.<\/p>\n<p>At Carleton, Erica looks forward to developing her skills in reporting, broadcasting, and podcasting. She hopes to build a career in political journalism, covering Canadian federal politics, Canada-U.S. relations, and international affairs.<\/p>\n<p>As a journalist, Erica aspires to become a trusted voice on the issues shaping Canada and its place on the world stage, while holding those in positions of power to account.
