Thanks for the Memories!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Cutting tape with razor blades for a radio doc! Cranking out articles for a physical newspaper!! Heady debate on the Fourth Estate!!! These are among my favorite memories of J School at Carleton in the mid-1990s, back when Jean Chretien was PM and social media was talk radio. With the revolution in communications technology since then, nearly everything we learned seems quaint. But the basics of what makes a good story haven’t changed. I remember laughing at and with our teachers including the wise and inimitable Klaus Pohle, drinking at the pub with classmates (watching the OJ Simpson verdict), working in the Resource Centre, and long chats with J School friends as we drove back and forth from Montreal to Ottawa.
