Philo Farnsworth <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">worked<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\"> for Philco from 1931 to 1933 and w<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">as credited for inventing the first <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">electronic<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">vacuum<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\"> tube<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">television<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\"> system.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">They were <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW53757976 BCX0\">a pioneer<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\"> in producing batteries, radios and television. They were later <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">purchased<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\"> by Ford <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW53757976 BCX0\">in 1961 and then Phillips in 1981.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">Produced in 1941 to 1942, t<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">he Philco 42-390 was a standard broadcast, short-wave and frequency <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">modulation<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">reception<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\"> radio. It <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">featured<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\"> electric push-button tuning, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">eight-tube superheterodynes, XXL tubes and a XXFM tube for <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW266559401 BCX0\">A.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW266559401 BCX0\">C. supply line.
