Communication and Media Studies associate professor Tracey Lauriault<\/p><\/div>\n

Associate Professor Tracey Lauriault<\/a> (Communication and Media Studies) will lead Carleton’s participation in InterPARES Trust AI (I Trust AI), a new research project leveraging artificial intelligence to archive trustworthy public records.<\/p>\n

Led by Dr. Luciana Duranti and Muhammad Abdul-Mageed (University of British Columbia), the five year project is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and will bring together interdisciplinary scholars, including from Communication and Media Studies, Architecture, Engineering, and Data Science at Carleton.<\/p>\n

Lauriault’s contributions will centre on how to archive complex digital systems, such as those used for geographic information systems (GIS), building information modelling (BIM), smart grids and assessing whether or not a record is AI generated.<\/p>\n
